AUDITION DATES: 

April 12   6pm-8pm
April 13      10am- noon
Callbacks, if needed, will be April 14th at 3 pm by invitation only.

REHEARSALS: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,Friday evenings from 6:00-9:30pm and SOME Saturday mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Not everyone is called for every rehearsal.

· Tech rehearsals:             July 8th thru July 18th

· Dress rehearsals:          July 15 -18th

· Performances:

July 19th at 7:30pm

July 20th at 7:30pm

July 21st at 2:00pm

July 26th at 7:30pm

WHAT TO PREPARE: Please come prepared to sing 16 to 32(about a minute) bars of a musical theatre song of your choice. It does not need to be a song from the show. The song should show off your range & style. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided, so please have your music cued and ready to go. Bring headshot and resume if available. Please be prepared to provide any prior conflicts/commitments you may have from May thru the end of July. Thank you!

Wizard of Oz the Musical Character Descriptions

Please note that all ethnicities and all body types are encouraged to audition for this production as we are committed to casting a group of actors that will reflect the people of our community.   This is an all ages show and will have roles for ages 7 and up.  Several cast members will play more than one role.

The Historic Ruffin Theater is a not-for-profit community theater. Most of our production staff and all actors are volunteers. We encourage actors who have been on our stage & actors who have never worked with us to join us in bringing the experience of live theater to Covington, TN.
